Why Facebook doesn't have a Dislike button

Written by : TNM

The News Minute | October 20, 2014 | 9.37 pm ISTMany Facebook users would have wondered why there isn’t a dislike button to express disapproval. According to Bret Taylor, the idea was debated, weighed, and then rejected. Here’s why:According to a report in The Independent, officials at Facebook felt that some time people prefer to engage with others in a positive way but may not really know what to say. Hence, a Like button was ideal. But creating a Dislike button could give off all these “really negative social aspects to it”. Instead, the team felt that if users were going say they dint like something, words would be a better way to describe what they felt, instead of just a Dislike button.
