Watch: Sridevi imitating her daughter Janhvi in this old video will warm your heart

It has been a couple of months since superstar Sridevi passed away, and now a video of the English Vinglish actor has surfaced which is sure to leave a smile on your face.

Sridevi, who had a flair for both comic and serious roles, once again proves that she can make you laugh with her charisma and candour.

The video seems to be from an old press conference where Sridevi and her daughter Janhvi are addressing reporters.

It appears that one of the reporters asked Janhvi about her ‘future plans’. Janhvi begins answering the question in English, and then hesitantly switches to Hindi. With a heavy accent, she says, “Mujhe abhi pata nahi… main school mein padhai kar rahi hoon.” (I don’t know yet, I am still studying in school.)

At this point, her mother takes the mic from her and asks the reporters not to make her speak in Hindi, or she will keep “bullying” her about her accent, she jokes. Sridevi then goes on to imitate Janhvi as mother-daughter duo as well as the reporters burst out laughing.

Watch the video here:

It’s almost bittersweet to see this camaraderie between Janhvi and her mother. The 21-year-old had earlier written a heartrending tribute to Sridevi on her birthday, which was shortly after her mother’s demise.

She said in the message that people and the media should treat Sridevi’s memory with love and respect, and talked about Sridevi’s place in her life.
