It’s a double treat for Vikram’s fans, as they finally got to see the much anticipated trailer of the actor’s Iru Mugan, which was unveiled earlier today at the audio launch. At the same event, it was officially announced that Vikram and director Hari will reunite after 13 years for Saamy 2, and Vikram will return as the foul-mouthed cop, who popularized the line, ‘Naan Police Illa..Porikki’.

Speaking at the event, Hari said, “Vikram and I are finally reuniting for Saamy 2. It’s going to be our next project.” This project will be bankrolled by Shibu Thameens, who has also produced Iru Mugan. Having already directed the Singam franchise with Suriya, Hari is the lone Tamil filmmaker to have succeeded in his attempt to kick-off the franchise culture. The regular shooting of Saamy 2 will commence later this year.

Meanwhile, Vikram’s Iru Mugan trailer has garnered very good response from fans. In the two-minute trailer, we get a glimpse of Vikram in dual roles – a secret agent and a transgender. Tipped to be a sci-fi action thriller, the film is gearing up for release in September.
