Actor Vijay will be seen in triple roles in upcoming Tamil film Mersal, which is said to be the most expensive film in his career. With the film gearing up for a grand Diwali release, the makers are busy working round the clock to ensure that the post-production goes on smoothly.

As part of the triple role, Vijay will be seen playing a magician and has been tutored by three popular magicians for the characters. They helped him learn some magic tricks. According to well-known magician Gogo Requiem, the magic portion in Mersal will be astonishing.

Earlier this week, in a Twitter post, Gogo wrote that he was honoured to work with Vijay in Mersal. In response to a fan’s question on how the magic portion has come out, he said, “I can’t tell you much. But believe me, you’ll be astonished.”

In a video, he said he thoroughly enjoyed working with Vijay, who is very simple despite his stardom. Magician Raman Sharma also worked with Vijay in the film. He tweeted: “Vijay was truly a delight to work with. An extremely hard worker and an amazing human being. Thank you.” There’s also a third magician who helped Vijay learn magic. However, the makers have kept his identity a big secret.

Directed by Atlee, the film marks his second collaboration with Vijay after last year’s Theri. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in key roles while SJ Suryah will be seen as the antagonist. Vadivelu and Kovai Sarla will be seen playing supporting characters.
