Written by : TNM

Producer Murali Ramaswamy from Thenandal Films has confirmed in an interview to The Hindu that the principal shooting of Vijay’s next project with Theri director Atlee will commence next year in February, and it will be made on a large scale.

Although he didn’t comment on the film’s cast and crew, it has been learnt from reliable sources that AR Rahman is most likely to come on board as the composer and Nayanthara is under consideration for the leading lady’s role.

It has also been rumoured that the film’s story has been penned by Baahubali fame Vijayendra Prasad, and that the veteran writer has long dreamt of writing for a Vijay-starrer. Although the project was supposed to take off soon after Theri, it had to be postponed due to Bharathan’s Bairavaa, which is gearing up for Sankranti 2017 release. The rest of the cast and crew are in the process of being finalized.

Vijay is expected to undergo a complete makeover for Atlee’s film and going by the trend set in Theri, he will look to up the ante in his overall presentation.
