Actor Shahrukh Khan was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding alleged irregularities in the sale of Knight Riders Sports Private Limited (KRSPL) shares.

The actor, as the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL cricket team, was involved in a deal in 2008-09, relating to the sale of shares to the Mauritius-based Sea Island Investments. Juhi Chawla’s husband, Jay Mehta, heads the company and he along with his wife are also co-owners of Shahrukh Khan’s company. The allegations against Khan are of drastically undervaluing shares for the deal.

Shahrukh Khan was allegedly grilled for three hours. Of course, Twitter immediately took to reacting about this incident.

A lot of tweets directly attacked ED’s questioning:

Some people, on the other hand, were equating Khan’s recent anti-intolerance statements as a cover up for his alleged undervaluing of shares
