Tharai Thappattai director Bala to cast Simbu as lead in next project?

Basking in the success of “Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada”, actor Simbu is busy with the shooting for Adhik Ravichandran’s “Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan”, in which he plays triple roles. As the film nears completion, rumours have surfaced that the actor will be teaming up with “Premam” director Alphonse Putharen for what is tipped to be a romantic action film.

There are also reports that filmmaker Bala, who last made “Tharai Thappattai”, is planning a film with Simbu, and the duo is likely to make an official announcement regarding the upcoming project soon.

Sources suggest that Bala’s film features an intense script, with Simbu playing a fierce role. However, the project might take off only next year as Bala is busy finalising the script. In the interim, Simbu might also work on a multi-starrer project with Gautham Menon, which will likely feature stars from other southern industries including Sai Dharam Tej, Puneeth Rajkumar and Fahadh Faasil.

More clarity about Bala’s project can be expected in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, Simbu is busy shedding all the extra weight he gained for one of the roles in AAA, in which he will also be seen as a 60-year-old man.
