Tamannaah, Prabhudeva team up for Hindi remake of Kolayuthir Kaalam

Written by : TNM

Nayanthara starrer Kolayuthir Kaalam, which went on the floors earlier this year in London, is now being remade in Hindi as well. In fact, the makers have decided to shoot both the versions simultaneously.

The Hindi version will reunite Devi pair Tamannaah and Prabhudeva, and what’s more interesting is that the latter will be seen playing the antagonist. Chakri Toleti, who is directing the Tamil version, is also helming the Hindi version.

The Hindi version will also star Bhumika Chawla in a crucial role. What was originally planned as a film with just a female protagonist has now become a coup of sorts with popular stars. Being produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja along with Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the makers are planning to release both the versions simultaneously.

The film, according to sources, is reportedly based on Mike Flanagan’s indie thriller Hush. It will feature Nayanthara and Tamannaah in the role of a deaf and dumb writer who has to save herself from a psycho killer on the loose. If everything goes as planned, the film will come out in May or June.
