SJ Suryah backs out of Pawan Kalyan film, Dolly will direct

Written by : TNM Staff

It seems Director SJ Suryah’s newfound acting acclaim has forced him to make adjustments to his directorial commitments. Suryah, who recently received high praise for his performance in the Tamil film “Iraivi”, has been flooded with acting offers in Tamil as well as Telugu.

Amidst these various prospects, Suryah has found himself hard-pressed to stick to the shooting schedules for the upcoming Pawan Kalyan-starrer under the Northstar Entertainment banner.

Although there were attempts to adjust the shooting schedules of the project, with the possibility of delay looming large, it was mutually agreed that Suryah would step aside from the role of the director.

While Suryah had many options to offer as his replacement, Pawan Kalyan and producer Sharrath Marar have decided to return to familiar ground and have approached director Dolly to take over the reins of the project. Dolly had earlier directed Pawan Kalyan in “Gopala Gopala” and shares a great rapport with the star.

The film is currently in the pre-production stage and shooting for it is set to commence by the end of July.
