Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film 'Velaikkaran' first look released

The makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film Velaikkaran released the much-awaited first look poster on Monday.

Directed by Mohan Raja, the film has Nayanthara pairing up with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time.  

Mohan Raja unveiled the poster via his Twitter handle and thanked the audience for making his previous film Thani Oruvan a superhit. “Inspired frm ur blessings nd love for Thanioruvan,I am elated to present u the first look of my next, indeed a prestigious one #VelaikkaranFL,” he wrote on his Twitter page.

Touted to be a social-commercial entertainer, the film is about food adulteration and Siva Karthikeyan’s crusade against it, according to sources. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Prakash Raj, Sneha, Rohini, RJ Balaji, Satish and Robo Shankar. The film’s technical crew has Anirudh (Music), Ramji (Cinematography) and Vivek Harshan (Editing).

The movie was scheduled to hit the screens in August and now it is slated for release on September 29 targeting the Puja holidays. RD Raja who struck gold with his debut production venture 'Remo' last year is producing Velaikkaran.
