Sai Pallavi to make Tamil debut with Vikram’s next

Written by : TNM

It has finally been made official that actor Sai Pallavi, who missed out on an opportunity to make her Tamil debut in Mani Ratnam’s "Kaatru Veliyidai", will enter Kollywood with Vikram’s next outing with director Vijay Chander, who earlier made "Vaalu". Although rumoured to have been signed on a few weeks ago, it was only on Wednesday that Vijay made the news official. A self-declared fan of Vikram, this will be Pallavi’s big ticket to leave a mark in Kollywood and since she’s very fluent in Tamil it’s just a matter of time before she’s flooded with offers.

Currently busy shooting for Sekhar Kammula’s Telugu drama "Fida", with Varun Tej in the titular role, she’s expected to join the sets of Vikram’s film from January next year. In the film, Vikram is rumoured to be playing a gangster and Pallavi will play his love interest. The fillm will be bankrolled by Silverline Film Factory and the makers are in the process of finalising the rest of the cast.

Meanwhile, it is also believed that Vikram’s plan to star in the remake of "Don’t Breathe" has been scrapped. Instead, he will work on "Saamy 2" after wrapping up Vijay’s project.
