Rajinikanth’s next with 'Kabali' director to roll from May

Written by : TNM

Post the phenomenal success of Kabali, it was announced that director Ranjith and superstar Rajinikanth will reunite for another project in Dhanush’s production. We’ve learnt from reliable sources that the currently untitled project which will have a Mumbai backdrop, will go on the floors from May, and it will feature the superstar in a new avatar on the lines of his well received look from Kabali.

Apparently, the shoot of Shankar’s 2.O, in which Rajinikanth plays triple roles, will be wrapped up by April.

“Everything is set. The team is planning to commence shooting from May. It will be an interesting film and audiences can expect Rajinikanth to be seen in a substantial role. This project might feature two leading ladies but the makers are yet to finalize anyone,” a source said, adding that music composer Santhosh Narayanan, who had also worked on Kabali, will be part of the film.

The rest of the cast and crew will be locked soon. Nearly 60 percent of the film will be shot in Mumbai, and some reports claim that the makers are aiming for a Pongal 2018 release.
