Raghava Lawrence confirms remake of another Rajinikanth film

Written by : TNM

Choreographer-turned-actor Raghava Lawrence is a die-hard Rajinikanth fan.

If you don’t know it yet, then his last two announcements have made it very evident that he wears his 'Thalaivar' fandom tag on his sleeve.

Having recently announced that he will be remaking Rajinikanth’s classic hit, "Moondru Mugam", he has also confirmed that a remake of "Mannan" is on the cards.

Interestingly, filmmaker P Vasu, who helmed the original, will return to do the honours for the remake.

The remake is also expected to feature Vadivelu and Kovai Sarala in the roles of Goundamani and Manorama respectively.

Vasu and Lawrence are currently shooting for the eponymous Tamil remake of the former’s big Kannada hit, "Shivalinga".

Having confirmed that talks have been initiated for the remake of Mannan, he said that he can only comment further upon the completion of Shivalinga, which has kept him occupied over the last few months.

According to a source close to Lawrence, a final portion of Shivalinga needs to be shot in Bangkok, and then another month will be spent on the post-production and VFX work.

Meanwhile, the remake of Moondru Mugam too, will go on the floors only early next year.

Lawrence will be producing as well as acting in this remake, which will also feature the actor in triple roles. He will also be seen donning the khaki.
