As his film Raajakumara hits the screens, Puneeth Rajkumar is upbeat, and with good reason. While the trailer of the film was a hit, his Appu dance went viral clocking 1 million views in just three days. Confident of tasting success at the box office yet again, Puneeth is excited about the film’s release.

Speaking to the Times of India, Puneeth said that Raajakumara is a family entertainer that he is sure audiences will like. However, the star added that he feels like a student waiting for the results to be declared.

Puneeth also talked about collaborating for the first time with Tamil star R Sarathkumar, saying that he had always been in awe of Sarathkumar’s fitness, and revealing that he was constantly asking the older star for health tips. Sarath Kumar plays Puneeth’s father in the film.

When asked about the possibility of exploring new scripts, Puneeth told TOI: “I would love to explore other genres. I am extremely happy that all kinds of genres are being accepted by audiences here. Some fabulous films were made last year and I am sure that we will follow up with more this year as well.”

Producer Vijay Kiragandur has bankrolled Raajakumara under his banner Hombale Films. The star cast includes Puneeth Rajkumar, Priya Anand, Ananth Nag, Achyuth Rao, Chikkanna, Datthanna, Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu, Sarath Kumar and Prakash Raj.
