Pictures of Mohanlal on the sets of Kayamkulam Kochunni, the upcoming project starring Nivin Pauly were posted by the latter on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.  Mohanlal is also playing a role in the film.

The two actors, with Nivin sporting a casual brown T-shirt and a cap and the superstar in a pale pink shirt with glasses on can be seen sharing an affectionate moment with each other. Mohnalal’s visit to the sets was celebrated with a cake cutting and the actors can be seen feeding each other a piece of cake.

Director Rosshan Andrrews too was part of the celebration, among others in the crew.

One of the most anticipated films this year, Kayamakulam Kochunni, based on the legendary highwayman will see Mohanlal in a pivotal role. News of the superstar joining the cast was tweeted by Nivin Pauly who said, “"And It’s confirmed !!! The charismatic Lalettan is joining the cast of Kayamkulam Kochunni for a role that can be done only by performed by the Complete Actor himself!!! The entire cast and crew is absolutely delighted and thrilled to share the working space alongside him. This is truly a dream come true moment!"

Calling it a “dream come true moment”, Nivin said that the crew was “absolutely delighted and thrilled” by Mohanlal’s inclusion. Apart from this, actor Priya Anand was finalised as the female lead after Amala Paul walked out of the project due to date issues. The script has been written by popular scriptwriters Bobby-Sanjay.
