Pawan Kalyan's next, remake of 'Veeram'?

Written by : TNM Staff

In an interesting turn of events, it is learnt that Pawan Kalyan’s next project, which was launched last week, could be an official remake of Ajith Kumar’s Veeram. While it was initially rumoured that the project is a remake of Vedalam; it has now been denied by reliable sources.

Kalyan was approached to star in the remake of Vedalam by producer A.M Rathnam earlier this year and apparently he also expressed interest. However, it was director S.J Suryah who approached him with the offer to work in Veeram, and Kalyan immediately grabbed the opportunity.

At the launch of the project, Kalyan’s salt-and-pepper look a la Ajith in Veeram has created a lot of curiosity. The film, according to the makers, is said to be a love story set against the backdrop of a faction, much on the lines of Veeram.

The project is slated to go on the floors next month and is likely to hit the screens later this year. Anup Rubens has been roped in to compose the tunes and he has already completed four songs in the album.
