'Mahesh 23' producer denies reports of fire on the sets

Written by : TNM

A section of the media had recently reported that the set of Mahesh’s Babu upcoming bilingual project film, which is tentatively titled Mahesh 23, with AR Murugadoss was gutted in fire.

However, when producer Tagore Madhu was contacted, he denied the incident of ever happening in the first place.

Talking to Deccan Chronicle, he said, “It’s not our film’s set and we never erected any set in that particular area where the media is reporting. The shooting is on since October 31 and will continue for another week.”

He went on to add that their film’s shooting is going on smoothly at the outskirts of Hyderabad.

The shooting of the film will continue up to November 14 in the city, followed by a month-long schedule in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Mahesh plays an intelligence officer in this action-thriller, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh as his love interest and SJ Suryah as the antagonist.

With nearly 50 percent of the project already wrapped up, the makers are simultaneously working on the film’s first look or teaser as Mahesh’s fans have been restlessly waiting.

SJ Suryah, who developed six-pack abs for the role, will be seen in a clean shaven avatar.

His role, according to sources, is said to be the biggest highlight of the project and Murugadoss is safely guarding his look.
