Kamal Haasan meets Lyca chairman for reviving Marudhanayam project

Written by : TNM

Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan met the Chairman of Lyca Productions Subashkaran Allirajah in London recently. With Subashkaran offering to produce Kamal’s dream project Marudhanayam a couple of months ago, the meeting was reported to be on those lines.

Kamal reportedly discussed about the possibilities of reviving the film, which has been lying in the cans for nearly two decades now.

The film’s shooting did go on for a few days in the 1990s after the Queen of England graced the inaugural ceremony / Muhurat. However, Kamal had to put the project on hold due to financial issues.

Even after several years, the actor could not revive the project. With Lyca coming forward, there is a strong chance of Marudhanayagam going on the floors soon. Sources say that Lyca may produce the film after it is done with the Rajinikanth starrer 2.0.

Meanwhile, Kamal is expected to resume the shooting of Sabaash Naidu, which has been stalled due to the accident he met with, in July this year.
