Actress Radhika Apte was all praise for superstar Rajinikanth at the recently concluded South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA). Radhika, who stars opposite the 65-year-old actor in the upcoming Tamil gangster drama, Kabali, said nobody can replace the one and only Rajinikanth and that he’s the best in the business.

Earlier, in an interview with The Indian Express, Radhika had said of Rajini, “He is extremely simple, humble and hardworking. He is a gem of a person. Very inspiring.”

In the Pa.Ranjith-directed film, Radhika plays Rajini’s wife, and the chemistry between the two is said to be one of highlights of the film.

Slated for theatrical release on July 22, Kabali features Rajinikanth as a don who fights for Tamils in Malaysia. For his role as a don, Rajinikanth apparently cultivated his beard for 75 days to get the look right for the major portion of the film. In a first for Kollywood, the film features Taiwanese actor Winston Chao as the primary antagonist. The film also features Kishore, Dhansikaa, Kalaiarasan, Ritwika and Dinesh in supporting roles.

Produced by S Thanu, the film is set to release in over 3000 screens worldwide in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malay.
