First look date for Nayanthara’s ‘Kola Maavu Kokila’ announced

Known as the lady Superstar, Nayanthara has bagged some of the most enviable and prestigious projects in tinsel town. She has done quite a few heroine-centric films recently and they have turned out to be big hits at the box office.

The latest venture starring Nayanthara in the lead is Kola Maavu Kokila and from the title it can be inferred that it is a heroine-centric film as well. The shooting for the film is reported to be progressing at a brisk pace.

The team recently announced that the first look of the film will be out on March 5 while the first single will be released on March 8. Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling the film, took to Twitter to make the announcement.

The film’s music composer Anirudh Ravichander also tweeted the news saying he was excited about the announcement.

Touted to be an action drama, Kola Maavu Kokila is directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar and bankrolled by Allirajah Subaskaran under Lyca Productions, his banner. While Nayan plays the title role in the film, the star cast also includes Saranya Ponvannan, Yogi Babu, Jacqueline and Nisha.

Known to be one of the talented actors in tinsel town, Nayanthara has had a successful career till date. Some of her recent films that turned out to be blockbusters include Dora, Aramm, Jai Simha and Velaikkaran.

Nayan started her acting career with the Malayalam movie Manassinakkare, which was directed by Sathyan Anthikad. A couple of years later, she made her debut in the Tamil film industry with the Hari directorial Ayya, in which she shared screen space with Sarathkumar. Her first big hit in Tamil was Chandramukhi, which was a Rajinikanth starrer directed by P Vasu.

The actor currently has Imaikkaa Nodigal lined up for release. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, her co-stars in the film include Atharva and Vijay Sethupathi, who will be making a cameo appearance as her husband.
