Drink if you must, but don’t drive, Allu Arjun advises

Written by : TNM

In an awareness program conducted by the Hyderabad traffic police, film star Allu Arjun and director SS Rajamouli addressed a large gathering of about 2,000 students from various city colleges.

Speaking at the event, both SS Rajamouli as well as Allu Arjun had valuable piece of advice for the youngsters.

Allu Arjun said, “I won’t say that don’t drink, but whenever anyone of you drinks, then just remember either to hire a cab or ask someone who is not drunk to drive you back home safely or just hire a driver.”

Stressing on the importance of obeying the traffic rules, Allu Arjun pointed out that driving rashly meant putting other people’s life in jeopardy as well. This is something that needs to be avoided, he added.

According to the star, “Remember that other commuters’ lives also depends on us. Everyone should do their bit by following the traffic rules.”

SS Rajamouli, while addressing the students, said, “Youngsters who are driving should be more careful and should not overlook traffic rules. I don’t drink but I can just say only one thing that you all should implement the tips shared by Allu Arjun who told you all to hire a designated driver if you are drunk.”

It is indeed a good initiative by the Hyderabad traffic police to have noted film personalities address an important issue.

With too many tragic road accidents, which included some high profile people, happening in the recent times, the police department is taking all measures to create awareness among the general public, especially the youth.

Both Allu Arjun and SS Rajamouli took time off their busy schedules as it was significant issue that needed to be addressed immediately, say sources in the tinsel town.
