Chiranjeevi’s next ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ to feature Big B

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s new film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’s first look motion poster was released on Wednesday, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday.

The periodic film set in the pre-Independence era, promises an action entertainer.

According to the filmmakers, the film is about the legend of an unsung warrior monk ‘Renati Suryudu’ who apparently was the first freedom fighter to revolt against the British.

The film is already raising expectation levels as it features actors from several industries—Hindi, Kannada and Tamil. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Kiccha Sudeep and Vijay Sethupathy are part of the project.

This is the first time both Amitabh Bachchan and Vijay Sethupathy are acting in a Telugu film.

Amitabh had earlier appeared in a small guest role in Manam in 2014, which starred late actor A Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.

Nayanthara is the female lead in the film. Actor Jagapathy Babu is also part of the project.

The film, directed by K Surender Reddy of Kick fame, also has some brilliant technicians including Ravi Varman doing cinematography and Rajeevan as production designer.

Music for the film is scored by AR Rahman—the first time Chiranjeevi has worked with him.

The film is produced by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan, who earlier produced Khaidi No. 150—Chiranjeevi’s comeback film.

It is still unclear whether the producers will be having a pan-India release like Baahubali. The date of the film’s release has not been announced yet.
