Written by : TNM

Baahubali: the Conclusion is a colossal hit with the film grossing over Rs 1000 crore within its second week at the box office. The magnum opus is running to packed shows in several screens across the globe, but the situation is not so in the United Arab Emirates. Like in all other countries, Baahubali 2 released in the UAE amidst a lot of expectations and did get positive reviews. Despite all this, the film has been pulled out of the theatres shocking the trade.

Interestingly, the first of the film’s reviews came in from Dubai.

When enquired, it was revealed that a tug-of-war between the Gulf distributor and the producers has led to this.

The distributor claims that the producers sold the rights to the film outright, which would secure all profits over the initial selling price to the distributor. However, the producers then went on to demand the overflow. So, the distributor decided to pull the film from theatres, leaving the audience in a lurch.

Baahubali: the Conclusion was directed by SS Rajamouli on a huge budget. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, the film was released on April 28 across the globe. Released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, Baahubali: the Conclusion stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati. Anushka Shetty, Tammannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nasser and others. MM Keeravani composed the music for this film, which was written by KV Vijayendra Prasad.
