After Vishal’s plea to revoke TFPC ban, court refuses to intervene

Written by : TNM

A few months ago, Vishal’s comment about the Tamil Film Producers Council members drew flak which resulted in his suspension from the Council. With the members of the Council seeking an apology, the actor-producer sent out a letter regretting his speech.

He had also filed a petition at the Court seeking its intervention to revoke the ban imposed on him. Taking up the matter recently, the Court held that it cannot interfere in the disciplinary actions taken by the TFPC on its members and the issue has to be sorted out by the parties concerned.

It may be mentioned here that TFPC elections are scheduled to be held on February 5, 2017. Kushboo Sundar will be contesting for the Presidential post on behalf of Vishal and his team.
