After ‘2.0’, will Shankar’s next project star Ajith?

Written by : TNM Staff

Shooting for director Shankar’s magnum opus, “2.0”. the much-awaited sequel of Endhiran, is well underway. Endhiran was one of the most expensive movies ever to be made in India at the time, and was also one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema.

“2.0”, which features a bevy of stars including Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, is being produced by Lyca Productions, with a budget of Rs. 350 crores – making it one of the costliest films in recent times.

Both Tamil as well as Hindi versions of the film are expected to hit the screens next year.

And if rumours are anything to go by, Shankar’s next, an action entertainer, will feature superstar Ajith. Reports suggest that Shankar has already prepared a script for Ajith and talks about the project have already been initiated from the director's side. However, there is no official confirmation yet from either the actor or the director.

Ajith is currently busy shooting for Thala 57 with director Siva, reportedly in the role of a secret agent in an international spy thriller.
