Why are Tamil audiences upset with Mahesh Babu?

Written by : TNM

Superstar Mahesh Babu's family drama Brahmotsavam has released worldwide and has opened to mixed reviews. While the actor's fans in Andhra, Telangana and the rest of the world are looking forward to the film in cinemas, a section of Tamil audiences are heartbroken.

Nearly a year ago when the film was announced, it was stated that the film will be made as a bilingual and will be simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil. However, the film ended up being released only in Telugu, much to the distress of Mahesh's Tamil fans.

Mahesh's last outing Srimanthudu was dubbed and released in Tamil as Selvandhan, and it did decent business. Hence, the Pokkiri star's Tamil fans hoped to catch Brahmotsavam in Tamil too.

However, the makers did not show interest in dubbing the film in Tamil.

Mahesh will be making his Tamil debut with his next project with filmmaker Murugadoss, and it's tipped to be a bilingual that will be shot in Telugu as well as Tamil.

The regular shooting of Murugadoss's project will start from July and the project is likely to hit the screens around Sankranti next year.
