But perhaps for the first time in recent years, someone has spotted a pod of dolphins in a Chennai beach. Evanescence Studios based in the city has uploaded a video on YouTube saying, "We were filming near the broken bridge , Besant nagar for a series on the wildlife of Chennai city , when we had surprise visitors. A pod 0f 20-30 dolphins came very close to the shore. Most people seem to agree that this is the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins (Sousa plumbea) but it needs to be confirmed".
