Saudi man divorces wife reportedly due to her “Whatsapp” addiction

The News Minute | November 16, 2014 | 1:55 pm ISTA Saudi couple who were married for two years reportedly got a divorce because the wife was an avid smartphone user.According to a report in gulf news, the husband complained that he was frustrated because the wife ignored her other duties at home and was paying attention only to her phone. He also added that she started neglecting their child too because of her smartphone addiction.The wife claimed that she needed to be on her smartphone to keep in touch with her family and friends.However, the situation worsened when the husband tried to get in touch with her and called her from his office, but she didn't answer the phone, following which the couple had a confrontation about the issue and the husband decided to divorce her.
