A peek into one of the world's biggest blood banks

The News Minute | December 14, 2014 | 09:42 am IST Christmas is around the corner, and as thousands around the world are gearing up for holidays, so it this organisation, but for a motive different that the others.A BBC report takes us into the NHS Blood and Transplant centre in Bristol, the world's biggest such centre and their preparations keeping in mind the festive season ahead. The centre needs more than 2,00,000 blood donors before Christmas. Working 24x7, the centre get 3,000 donations every day. The blood needs to be collected, 'scanned, bar coded.
