'I live in a toilet and it is like my home': Life of a toilet guard-cum-cleaner in India's capital

Following several incidents of vandalism and theft in public toilets in Delhi, the civic authorities in the city reportedly employed people to guard and also clean the lavatories. A recent video by Barcoft TV gives a peek into the life of Premraj Das, a guard-cum-cleaner at one of Delhi's many public toilets. For Premraj, his work place also acts as his home once his shift his over. He cooks, eats, and lives- in order to save rent- in the toilet. "I do not feel uncomfortable here. It is almost like my home," Premraj tells Barcoft TV. A migrant worker who shifted to Delhi around three years ago, Premraj is quite contend with his job. One of highlights of his job is the people he gets to interact with. "From policemen to lawyers, everyone likes me," he adds. Watch the full video here. Video of jhb770iolkU
