Indian cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin and Murali Vijay, will soon be seen on the silver screen. They will be making a special appearance in the film Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings.

Chennai 600028 II: Second Innings is a sequel to Chennai 600028, which was released in 2007 and was a coming-of-age sports comedy film revolving around cricket.

The movie was based on street cricket played in India and focussed on various themes such as friendship, love and rivalry.   

After the huge success of part 1, the director decided to recreate the magic with the same team. The movie will be bankrolled by ‘Black Tickets’ production.

The movie was officially launched on Monday with a formal Pooja, and the shooting will commence soon.

The poster of the movie was released in February 2016 along with the background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
