Teenage girl gang raped in Andhra, body found hanging from tree

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three persons and her body was found hanging from a tree outside Yeturu village in Krishna District on Monday.

The girl was allegedly kidnapped by the three accused, who came in an autorickshaw on Sunday evening, while she was walking on the road. She was then gangraped in an open field in the outskirts of the village.

The victim's body was found hanging from a tree on the outskirts of the village by her parents, police said.

Police have identified the accused who hails from neighbouring Vibharinthalapadu village, said Nandigama Circle Inspector Sathya Kishore, adding no arrests have been made so far.

A case has been registered in Chanderlapadu Police Station and investigation is on, police added.
