Jagan demands probe on Naidu's foreign trips

The News Minute | November 25, 2014 | 5:30 pm ISTThe YSR Congress on Tuesday demanded a thorough investigation into the foreign trips of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, alleging that the trips were a waste of the taxpayer’s money.According to a press release, party MLA G Sreekanth Reddy claimed that Naidu was spending a huge amount of public money to “further the business interests of his coterie”The party also highlighted a recent Government Order issued, sanctioning Rs 1.5 crore as advance for Naidu’s Japan trip in the backdrop of many people in the state still recovering from the Hudhud cyclone which ravaged the state last month.The party demanded that Naidu’s frequent visits should be bought under a competent scanner and added that the state should keep track of how much investment is being brought in to the state with contrast to the amount spent on the chief minister’s foreign trips.
