AP CM Naidu and TDP MPs must resign and protest for Vizag railway zone: Pawan Kalyan

Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Friday dared Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to resign from his post along with his MPs and take to the streets to protest for Special Category Status (SCS) and a railway zone at Visakhapatnam, along with other promises made to the state during bifurcation.

Addressing a massive gathering in Visakhapatnam district, Pawan Kalyan said, "If you want to fight for bifurcation promises. the Jana Sena is ready to protest. You make your TDP MPs resign and let’s do a 'rail roko' for the railway zone. I will come. The CM must also resign. YSRCP President Jaganmohan Reddy can also join us. Let Naidu, Jagan and Pawan Kalyan sit on the railway line for the people and stop the trains. They all fear this."

Reiterating that the CM must resign, Pawan said, "Let us all come together and fight for SCS."

The Jana Sena chief also said that he had lost faith on TDP MPs who were recently seen in a video, allegedly poking fun at the railway zone demand.

“As we lost faith in those leaders, I challenge you and the Opposition Leader to come to the battlefield and together, we will stage a protest in Visakhapatnam until the Central government announces the separate railway zone,” Pawan was quoted as saying.

Earlier this week, Pawan hit out at Naidu and claimed that it was the TDP, which approached him ahead of the 2014 elections in the state and asked him to support them.

The actor-politician is presently touring the state as part of his 'Praja Porata Yatra'.

Dubbed the Jana Sena Porata Yatra, the tour will see a mix of walkathons (padayatra), public meetings and road shows.

Pawan Kalyan said that the aim of this yatra is to highlight the issue of Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh and also to highlight the several promises made by the Centre during the state’s bifurcation.

The Jana Sena party chief toured Srikakulam district for several days, before entering Vizianagaram district. He is presently in Visakhapatnam district.
