Andhra, Telangana residents brace for cold weather as temperatures likely to dip

The minimum temperature in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and other areas of the district, which was reported to be 23-25 degree Celsius over the past one week, is gradually falling. 

Many parts of the district witnessed temperatures of 19 degree Celsius on Saturday and Sunday. 

On November 17, the temperature in Vizag had risen to 25.3 degree Celsius after the minimum temperature of the season was recorded at 17 degrees on November 11. 

However, for the past three days, cold weather has been felt across the district following the sudden decrease in temperature. 

It was reported that the temperature dropped to 7 degrees in Lambasingi village and several tribal places in the district witnessed heavy fog until Sunday afternoon. 

According to Met officials, the temperature is likely to drop in the next two days. 

Meanwhile, various tourist places of Vizag Agency area, Araku valley, Lambasingi and Borra Caves, witnessed a huge rush. 

It was also reported that Chintapalle village registered 11 degree Celsius and Minumuluru 10 degrees.

Not only Andhra Pradesh, but even Telangana has been witnessing a sudden drop in temperature. 

Medak district recorded a low of 10 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature plunged to 13 degrees in Hyderabad on Saturday. 

The temperature is likely to fall in the next two days in Telangana, as per Met officials.  

It was reported that there has been an average drop of 4 degrees in temperature.
