Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu visits DMK supremo Karunanidhi at Kauvery Hospital

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu paid a visit to DMK chief Karunanidhi in Chennai at Kauvery hospital in Chennai on Saturday. Naidu went to the hospital directly from the airport.

Naidu enquired about Karunanidhi's health from the doctors. He was also seen having a chat with DMK working president MK Stalin and MP Kanimozhi.

Naidu was accompanied by Andhra Agricultural Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and other senior TDP leaders.

The Andhra CM is a among a long list of politicians and celebrities who have visited Karunanidhi to enquire about his health.

Karunanidhi has been in Kauvery hospital since July 27.

“Visited @kalaignar89 at the Kauvery hospital, Chennai today and met with @mkstalin to discuss the DMK Chief’s health. Praying that he recovers soon and gains his health back,” he wrote in a tweet.

Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan also issued a statement, wishing for the speedy recovery of Karunanidhi.

"I wish a great person like Karunanidhi should live a long with us forever.On behalf of me and Jana Sena supporters, I pray to the God for his quick and complete recovery,” he said.

It can be remembered DMK leader Kanimozhi had paid a visit to TDP MP CM Ramesh's "indefinite hunger strike" in Kadapa, which was aimed at accordance of steel plant in Kadapa.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu also  paid a visit to Karunanidhi, accompanied by senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Khan and the party's state unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan.

Following the visit Suresh Prabhu tweeted, “Called on @kalaignar89 Dr Karunanidhi with @ShahnawazBJP @DrTamilisaiBJP and our party leaders. We all wish he will get well soon to guide millions of his well wishers @arivalayam (DMK hq) (sic)," Prabhu tweeted.

"Great leader who shaped politics for decades. Get well soon #Kalaignar @mkstalin @KanimozhiDMK,"
