Following the leak of the controversial beep song, All India Democratic Women’s Association’s Coimbatore unit had lodged a complaint with the police taking offence of the objectionable sexist lyrics.
The Coimbatore police registered a complaint under sections of indecent representation of women of the IPC. They have also issued summons to actor Simbu and music composer Anirudh Ravichandran, asking them to appear before the Coimbatore city police on December 19.
Both Simbu’s father T Rajendar and Anirudh have made conflicting statements. T Rajendar blamed that the third person who leaked the video and Anirudh denied having any connection with the song.
