This year, party presidium chairman E Madhusoodanan hoisted the flag and distributing souvenirs. While other party leaders across the state have been asked to mark the occasion with the same, no sweets are to be distributed this year as a mark of respect for their jailed leader.Senior advocate, Fali Nariman will be the counsel on Jayalalithaa’s behalf as she moves the court for bail and also to move her from the Bangalore Parappana Agrahara jail to a Chennai prison.
