The intense speculation and suspense over TN CM Jayalalithaa’s health continues as another day has passed without any information from the Apollo Hospital.

Former Tamil Nadu governor, K Rosaiah visited the CM on Friday. A report from The Hindu quoted him as saying, “I have come here to see Madam Jayalalithaa. She is responding to the treatment being given by the doctors. I hope this treatment will be completed in a few days and she will recover from all ailments. This is not only my prayer, but the prayer of thousands of people. So, I am sure God will respond and will give her good health.”

A critical care expert Dr. Richard Beale, Nitish Naik, professor of cardiology, AIIMS along with his colleagues G.C. Khilnani, professor of pulmonary medicine, and Anjan Trikha, professor of anaesthesiology and critical care were back on Thursday to review Jayalalithaa’s condition.

The Hindu reported that a physiotherapist was also expected to come on Sunday.

CR Saraswathi, spokesperson of the AIADMK on Friday said, “Jayalalithaa is recovering. She is also aware of what is happening around her.”

Over the last few weeks, politicians and VIPs have visited Apollo to see Jayalalithaa. Earlier this week, DMK Supremo Karunanidhi’s wife Rajathi Ammal, Nita Ambani - the wife of top industrialist Mukesh Ambani - visited the leader on Thursday.

Several top politicians, including BJP president Amit Shah, union finance minister Arun Jaitley, DMK leader MK Stalin and Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala have visited Apollo Hospital on Greams road in downtown Chennai.

Meanwhile, two people from Coimbatore were arrested on Thursday for spreading rumours about Jayalalithaa’s health.

Thousands of people gathered in Chennai's R.K. Nagar constituency on Friday to offer special prayers for the speedy recovery of the ailing chief minister. Various temples, mosques and churches have organised poojas for Jayalalithaa’s recovery.

Over 5000 school and college students from Illuppur in Pudukkottai district assembled in "AMMA" formation to pray for Jayalalithaa, Jaya Plus reported.
