The News Minute | January 6, 2014 | 06:45 pm ISTThe Vellore City Mayor on Friday tendered her “unconditional apology” to the judiciary and Special Judge of the Special Court of Karnataka who delivered a judgement in the disproportionate assets case involving former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.In her text, she said that she had read out the “offensive and derogatory” text before commencement of the Corporation Council Meeting, reported The Hindu. In her note, she said, “ I wish to inform the public that I have filed an affidavit before the Honorable High Court of Madras expressing my regret for having read out the aforesaid text and also have tendered an unconditional apology to the judiciary in general and in particular to the honourable Special judge of the special court of Karnataka…”It was also mentioned that the said text was neither discussed nor recorded in the minutes of the corporation.TweetFollow @thenewsminuteRead Why Vellore corporation has been asked to apologise to the judge who convicted Jayalalithaa
