The News Minute | November 15, 2014 | 01:50 pm ISTChennai’s Vandalur zoo has been allowing visitors inside its premises despite reports that one of its five white tigers has gone missing from its enclosure on Friday night. Following heavy rains on Thursday, a 7-m high wall around the enclosure holding the tigers had collapsed , reported Times of India. However, officials did not confirm if all five animals were present following the wall’s collapse. Sudhakar, the assistant director and Public Relations Officer at the zoo said that all tigers were in their enclosure. However, news reports have indicated that one tiger may have escaped after the collapse in which 30m of the wall surrounding the moat fell. On Saturday, the zoo has been allowing visitors into its premises. The PRO, Sudhakar again on Saturday told The News Minute that the tigers were inside premises. However, according to reports, only pug marks of one of the animals have been found. A zoo official said that one of the five animals could not be spotted initially. But, then the animal had been found last night.
