The wall of the three-storeyed building collapsed on to an asbestos roofed shed, killing two work menworking at an onion and jiggery wholesale shop cum godown reported Times of India. Kumar, aged 50, died on the sport while another worker escaped the accident. The building collapse brings focus on the issue on the dangers posed by old buildings in crowded areas in the city. Earlier, a status report revealed that more than 99 per cent buildings in George Town, in Chennai had been constructed without an approved plan or without regard for rules.
