The trailer of Thadam, by Director Magizh Thirumeni, well-known for his thrillers, was released on Sunday. Starring Arun Vijay in the lead, the film marks his second-time collaboration with the director.

The film’s trailer begins with a romantic encounter between Arun and Tanya Hope accompanied by the already popular song ‘Inayae’ rendered by Sid Sriram.

Soniya Aggarwal is seen playing a mother and actor Vidya Pradeep is seen playing a cop. Arun Vijay who also plays a cop, seems to be on the trail of a crime. The trailer has a good number of suspense inducing sequences and reveals that the film is based on true events.

The film also stars Smruthi Venkat, FEFSI Vijayan, Yogi Babu, Meera Krishnan and George Maryan in important roles.

It was earlier announced that Arun Vijay would be playing a dual role in this film.

Thadam will be Arun Raj’s debut film as a composer. His 'Inayae' song that was released in May this year has garnered over 3 lakh views on Youtube so far. The film has Gopinath and Shrikanth for cinematography and editing respectively.

Director Magizh Thirumeni has been delivering one action thriller after another. His last, Maeghamann starring Arya and Hansika was a spy action thriller that came out in 2015. Previously, he had worked with Arun Vijay in Thadayara Thaakka that was released in 2012.  Mahizh has worked as an assistant with Director Gautham Menon in films like Khakka Khakka and Vettaiyaadu and Vilayaadu. 

Arun Vijay was last seen in Kuttram 23 that released last year. In addition to Thadam, he will also be seen playing a role in the Prabhas starrer multi-lingual film Saaho and will be playing Thyagu in Mani Rathnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
