The Malayalam movie Forensic was launched recently with the official muhurat happening in Palakkad. The film has Tovino Thomas in the lead role with Akhil Paul and Anas Khan directing it. Announcing the project, Tovino posted saying, "‘FORENSIC’ starts Rolling Today..Written & Directed by Akhil Paul - Anas Khan and Produced by Navis Xaviour and Siju Mathew in association with Raju Malliath, this one's gonna be very special guys.. keeping my fingers crossed. Need your blessings and support, right from the start of our journey (sic).”

Forensic is scripted jointly by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan. It may be noted here that the film was supposed to be directed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Sujith Vaassudev but he walked out due to date issues following which Akhil Paul and Anas Khan took over. The tagline of the film reads 'The science of a crime'.

Mamta Mohandas has been roped in to play the female lead in Forensic with Saiju Kurup, Giju John, Reba Monica John, Dhanesh Anand, and Anil Murali forming the supporting cast.

The technical crew of this entertainer includes Akhil George for cinematography, Jakes Bejoy for music, Shameer Muhammed for editing, Dileepnath for art direction, Sameera Saneesh for costume designing, Rajashekar for stunts and Vishnu Govind and Sree Sankar for sound designing.

Tovino’s next film to hit the marquee will be Kilometres and Kilometres. The shooting of this film is over and it is in the post-production stage. Minnal Murali, Bhoomi, Aravam, and 563 St. Charles Street are some of his films in the pipeline. Minnal Murali, directed by Basil Joseph, will see him play a superhero, Bhoomi by Albert Anthony will reportedly see him as a revolutionary leader and 563 St. Charles Street by Rony Roy is a horror film based on some true incidents.

His last film release was Edakkad Battalion 06, in which he played an army captain.
