The title of Tovino Thomas’ film with director Albert Anthony has undergone a change. While the title earlier was Joe, it has now been retitled as Bhoomi. Going by the first look poster of Bhoomi which was released earlier, we can see the lead actor holding a megaphone, probably addressing a rally. It also appears that he plays a revolutionary leader.

On the title change, director Albert Anthony has said in an interview to the Times of India, that after working on the project for some time, they felt that it would be apt to retitle it as Bhoomi. Preparations are on to get Bhoomi on the floors and we hear that the shooting will begin next year.

Tovino Thomas currently has a slew of projects on his hands, including Edakkadu Bataliion 06. The film is being directed by Swapnesh K Nair. Reports are that Edakkadu Battalion 06 has been inspired by a true story, the details of which are kept under wraps for now. Tovino Thomas will be playing an army officer in it.

Tovino has also signed the film 563 St. Charles Street, which will be helmed by Rony Roy and bankrolled by B Rakesh under the banner Universal Cinema. It is a horror flick inspired by some true-life incidents. The film will be shot extensively in the US and Canada. Apart from directing the film, Rony Roy has also penned the story of this film. Sangeeth Jain has penned the screenplay and the rest of the technical crew includes Jakes Bejoy for music composition and Sreejith Sarang for editing with Jigme Tenzing cranking the camera.

Quite a few films of the actor have released in recent months, three big releases – including Virus, And The Oscar Goes To and Luca – in the month of June alone.
