The man in the spotlight after he was shown in a video receiving a tap on his cheek from DMK treasurer MK Stalin, Karthik Rajendran, has now said that he had not been slapped. Son of a DMK sympathiser, he told that he had been asked to move by MK Stalin because he had mistakenly stepped on a woman commuter’s feet while travelling on the Chennai Metro. 2. Emotional scenes were witnessed, as Chitra, mother of the youth signed documents to receive the body amidst high security both inside and near the hospital. 5. A school fight ended in shock after one of the students of a Kancheepuram school on Wednesday sustained fatal head injuries during a fight with his classmate. The Class 11 student who was exchanging blows with the other student hit his head awkwardly on the pavement after which he turned unconscious. Though rushed to the hospital he did not respond to treatment. The other boy has been detained.
