A four year-old girl child was found dead on Tuesday, her body floating in a farm well near Kallakurichi. She reportedly died after a teenage girl pushed her into the well. Earlier the child, Durga had spotted a teenage girl stealing a sum of Rs 20 from her house. When she told her mother, the teenage girl was beaten by her family, reported The New Indian Express. After the body was found, the teenage girl confessed to pushing the small child into the farm well. 4. Actor and South Indian Film Artistes Association head Sarath Kumar found no respite at the Madras High Court which refused to remove the stay against the polls for the actors’ association initially planned to be held on July 15. The first bench called for the presence of the registrar of cooperative societies in the next hearing. 5. Hit Malayalam-remake, "Papanasam", starring Kamal Haasan has been refused entertainment tax exemption . The decision was made by a panel comprising mostly veterans of the cinema industry rejected the claim made by Papanasam’s makers. The panel also criticized many of the depictions made in the movie.
