Reports are doing the rounds that the makers of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy are in talks with a top actor for a special song. Once the deal is through, the makers will reveal the name of the actor, we hear from sources.

Sye Raa is one of the most expected biopics in the Telugu film industry right now. Featuring mega star Chiranjeevi as the legendary freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the film has a bevy of talented stars in the cast, including Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan, Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, Sudeep from Sandalwood and others. It also has a brilliant technical crew that include Hollywood stunt director Greg Powell who is choreographing the action sequences.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is based on a story penned by the Paruchuri Brothers while Sai Madhav Burra has written the dialogues and the screenplay is by Surendhar Reddy, who is also the director. Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Huma Qureshi, Pragya Jaiswal and Jagapathi Babu also feature in the film. R Rathnavelu is cranking the camera for this venture while A Sreekar Prasad is in charge of the editing. The shooting for the film commenced last year and is progressing at breakneck speed with plans to release it early next year.

Being a period film with Chiru in a different get-up altogether, his fans can’t wait for its release.

It may be mentioned here that when the project was announced it had the Oscar winner AR Rahman and Santosh Sivan onboard for music composing and cinematography respectively but they later opted out.

Sye Raa is bankrolled by Chiru’s son and actor Ram Charan Teja under his banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 200 crore. With a wide ensemble of stars from different film industries, the filmmakers are planning to release it in Telugu and Tamil.
