The News Minute | November 29, 2014 | 9.23 am ISTTamil Nadu minister for milk and dairy development B.V. Ramanna on Friday filed a defamation suit against DMDK chief Vijaykanth. Vijaykanth had alleged irregularities in the procurement of milk in the state, Times of India reported. He had also demanded that the government come out with a white paper to prove its innocence.On November 11 a Tamil daily had carried this as a story. Based on this the minister has filed a defamation suit. The published article was “highly derogatory” and “defamatory per se” and impeached the work of a minister, the suit said.
