Come May 23 and 24, Tamil Nadu will be hosting its first two-day Global Investors Meet.An event for which the last date for registration has been delayed thrice , the state’s officials have been putting their best foot forward in inviting other states and countries for the meet.After a roadshow at Ahmedabad in which Tamil Nadu government officials including the state minister for Industries, P Thangamani was present, similar such shows are to be conducted in Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata apparat from teams that are targeting other countries including Germany, Canada, Taiwan etc, reported Times of India.This meet will thus include Tamil Nadu in the already long list of states such as Karnataka, West Bengal and Chattisgarh who have conducted events similar to Gujarat’s Vibrant Gujarat Globa Investors’ Summit model, reported Indian Express.However, more interestingly, the bigger question still remains over the fate of the investors’ meet considering the delay in the Karnataka High Court’s verdict over the appeals filed by former TN CM J Jayalalithaa and three others, reported Times of India.The postponement in last dates for registration was attributed to poor response from other countries, said the report. The last date now stands at April 25.
